Shift Gig coming up on October 1st!!!

Posted: September 25, 2015 in gigs, venues

When Brent Thorpe told me he wanted me for his show at Midnight Shift I was delighted.

The Shift has been an icon of the gay world in Sydney since the late 1970s (yes I was around then). It was one of a number of vibrant gay venues along Oxford Street like Capriccios and Patches which had entertainment and drag acts.

All this fun was water cooler conversation with my male gay mates at work and I learnt a lot. Now after a lifetime I’m going back to the holy of holies. The show I’m in has my friends: Ash Van Dam, who’s full on, and Rodney Todd who does a really cute character called Ahmed Zub — it’ll be a lot of fun!!!.

Hive Bar Show

Posted: September 21, 2015 in festivals, gigs, photos, venues

Over the weekend I’ve been going to the Hive Bar to see some shows but of course its not all beer and comedians. I had to do some work. Posters have to be posted up in the toilets and flyers have to be given to the locals in Erskineville who I am glad to say have been extremely nice. I hope some of them make it to my show on Sunday 27th September. We will have a good time!!!

I haven’t posted anything for a while so I thought I would explore new databases that support home grown fiction of all sorts. I found Quotev which looks quite nice and posted this new story I wrote yesterday. I asked FaceBook friends for ideas for stories the other day. I liked Justin Jones idea, he said “everyone likes ponies”. So that is what I wrote about.

My Fringe Show at the Hive Bar

Posted: September 15, 2015 in festivals, gigs, photos, venues

My Sydney Fringe shows at the Factory Theatre went off like a cracker! Now for more fun!

When Sam Kissajukian invited me to do a show at the Hive Bar at Erskineville I couldn’t resist the intimate and friendly room. I hope you will join me and my friends Justin and Adil on Sunday 27th September at 8.30pm.

I had so much material I didn’t do it all last time so I’ll do new stories and old favourites, something for everyone. I look forward to seeing you there! But wait there’s more… Thao Cao and Ben Willshaw are running their Fringe shows in that room on the same night. You could catch another show or all three.
