What I did last night — its a great little room with lots of potential. Be there!

This is what they said on FaceBook: We did it! Molotov is back! Opening night jitters were quickly tossed aside as Sydney’s favourite open mic choo choo trains arrived at the station. Big thanks to the very attractive, cool and popular Alfie Cannock and Tom Sanderson for hosting.

Special mention goes to the NSW State Government whomst requires us to have three security guards on the door after 9pm. Better get your heckles in before nine because after then you just might get BOUNCED. See ya next week.

Here’s the running sheet for the first bracket — I was in the second bracket and had a lot of fun and yes, I stayed to the end.

molotov reborn

Monday Running Sheet:

Cameron Duggan (MC), Gerard McGowan, Sue Thomas, Justin Jones — [Break] — Angie LavoirPierre, Mick Meredith (Headliner).

I did the Silent Witness story with two new sign jokes — the plastic folders joke got a belter and Mick Meredith noticed that. Cool. I got a lot of kind comments from audience members (4), including a lady who liked the set because she liked the silent witness show and in spite of the fact that she described my stuff as “inappropriate”. LOL My favourite bit about the night was the $20 drink token which is pretty much the same as being paid. Excellent!

Wednesday Running Sheet:

Pat Doherty¬†(MC), Justin Jones, Sue Thomas,¬†Gerard McGowan, Dan Muggleton¬†— [Break] — Jen Canivale (Headliner).

I did the Silent Witness story again giving it a bit more pumping up and with a lot of minties to help with the phlegm. Hemingway’s is a upmarket bijoux establishment and I was surprised how many people they could pack in. The audience must have¬† been locals, they were all very friendly, and a mixture of young and old. One young guy said on the way out “you were my favourite”. So we can chalk that gig up as a job well done!

Here’s my set from last Thursday 27th April at the Friend in Hand. Thanks Liam and Wayne for thinking of me and putting me on with this incredible line-up of comics, veterans and rookies. Trevor Crook was the headliner and he was very funny, likewise the incredible Julia Wilson, I love her stuff!
